Support Groups

Support groups unite people who are affected by a specific issue. The participants and facilitators exchange relevant information and provide mutual support. In addition, strategies for coping with the particular issue are presented and discussed.

Rebuilding: Divorce/Relationship Recovery Support Group for Women is a support group facilitated by Karon Ferguson that is an outgrowth of the eight-week Rebuilding: Divorce/Relationship Recovery Workshop for Women at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Decatur. The group is free and open to women who are dealing with divorce, separation, or the ending of a relationship. Karon Ferguson is an Associate Staff Counselor with the Care & Counseling Center of Georgia in Decatur.
